Introduction
I’m sharing this journey not just for my own record, but to help other beginners see what it takes to start a blog from the ground up — especially using tools like ChatGPT. Many people think blogging is complicated or requires expensive tools, but I want to show that it’s possible to start with just a phone, a free Google account, and determination. In this diary, I’ll document each day’s progress, lessons learned, and challenges faced, so anyone reading can follow along and see that blogging can be accessible to anyone. I recently started a new blog called HeartSense Daily, not because I’m an expert, not because I know everything, but because I got tired of wasting my time on things that didn’t really give me value — especially in my free time.
Most of the time I was just scrolling, watching random content, or doing things that didn’t move my life forward in any real way.
So I decided to try something different:
build something real, from scratch, using AI (ChatGPT) as my main tool.
This post is my Day 3 update.
Why I Started This Blog
- I don’t want to depend on only one thing for income.
- I want to learn how the internet actually works — how people create content, build traffic, and turn ideas into something meaningful.
But more than money, I wanted purpose in how I use my time. Instead of consuming all day, I wanted to create.
What I’ve Done So Far
So far, I’ve completed the initial steps of creating my blog. I chose a simple, clean Blogger theme that’s mobile-friendly and easy to navigate. Setting up the homepage, menu, and favicon took more time than expected, but it was a learning experience. I also created the essential pages: About, Contact, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer. This ensures that my blog is credible and ready for readers and potential AdSense approval. While setting up, I faced some small challenges, like deciding which layout would look professional yet remain simple for mobile users.
In summary So far, I have:
- Created the blog on Blogger
- Chosen a simple niche around life, growth, and useful ideas
- Published my first few articles
- Started learning about:
- SEO
- internal linking
- labels
- consistency
Everything I’m doing is new to me.
A lot of it is confusing.

Sometimes I feel like I’m slow. But I’m learning by doing, not by watching.
How ChatGPT Is Helping Me
ChatGPT has been instrumental in generating ideas, structuring posts, and drafting content. For example, I asked ChatGPT: “Create a 300-word outline for a blog post about starting a blog on a phone.” It provided a detailed outline with headings and subpoints that I later expanded into a full article. ChatGPT also helps me brainstorm titles, suggest keywords, and rewrite content to make it more readable and SEO-friendly. Using ChatGPT as a virtual assistant speeds up the blogging process, especially when working on a mobile device.

In summary I use it for:
- generating article ideas
- improving my writing
- structuring posts
- understanding SEO basics
- planning future content
It doesn’t “do the work for me”, but it helps me think better and move faster.
Instead of being stuck, I can ask questions and keep going.
Even after your blog is indexed, you may notice low traffic — learn why in Why Google Indexed My Blog But I’m Getting No Traffic.https://heartsensedaily.blogspot.com/2026/01/why-google-indexed-blog-no-traffic.html
What’s Been Hard
The journey hasn’t been without obstacles. Some days, I felt overwhelmed trying to balance writing, formatting, and learning SEO techniques. There were moments when I struggled to find the right keywords or create content that feels valuable to readers. Time management has been another challenge, as I’m learning to dedicate consistent blocks for content creation. However, breaking tasks into small steps and setting daily goals has helped me stay on track and remain motivated.
The hardest part so far is:
- not knowing if I’m doing things the right way
- feeling like progress is slow
- sometimes doubting if this will work
There are days where it feels like I’m putting in effort with no visible results.
- No traffic.
- No money.
Just faith and consistency.

My Real End Goal
My ultimate goal is not just to publish articles, but to create a blog that is informative, helpful, and profitable in the long term. I aim to provide content that helps others avoid the mistakes I encountered when starting. While I hope the blog will eventually generate income through AdSense and affiliate opportunities, success for me is also about helping beginners, building a consistent process, and learning new skills along the way. By documenting this journey, I’m holding myself accountable and creating a resource that others can follow. My end goal is not just money.bIt’s clarity.
Clarity that:
- anything is possible if you put your mind to it,
- effort done the right way actually compounds,
- and that all this time and energy wasn’t in vain.
I also want to be an example to people around me. To show that: these things are real — it just takes discipline, focus, and determination.
- No shortcuts.
- No fake lifestyle.
- Just real work, documented.
Also to encourage my fellow zambian they can also be part of this journey and thats why i wrote article why zambians should start learning new things like: digital skills https://heartsensedaily.blogspot.com/2026/01/httpsheartsensedaily.blogspot.com202601why-zambians-must-start-learning-digital-skills.html.html
What’s Next (Day 4 Plan)
On Day 4, I plan to research more about traffic generation and keyword optimization using free tools. I will also draft new posts based on trending topics within the online income and blogging niche. Additionally, I want to start experimenting with internal linking between articles to improve navigation and SEO. Each step will be documented to provide a clear picture of how a beginner can grow a blog systematically. My focus will be on producing quality content that engages readers while staying consistent with posting schedules.
Next, I want to focus on:
- learning how to get traffic
- writing more consistently
- turning these posts into future YouTube content
- and slowly testing monetization ideas
Even if it takes months, I’m committed to seeing this through.
This is not a challenge.
This is a long-term experiment.
Final Thought
Blogging is not a mysterious or inaccessible activity — it’s a series of small, consistent actions that build up over time. By starting with just a phone and using AI tools like ChatGPT, anyone can create a functional and professional blog. The key is consistency, patience, and learning from mistakes. I hope this diary inspires beginners to start their own blogs and shows that with determination and the right tools, even small steps can lead to meaningful progress. Stay tuned as I continue documenting this journey and share insights for others who want to succeed in blogging from scratch.
